Lectures and hands-on workshops to give you the knowledge and confidence you will need to apply what you have learned to your own designs. Mechanical Engineers, including Automotive Engineers, Materials Engineers, Aerospace Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Structural Engineers, and many other subdisciplines, who have a need to implement their own functionality into the Ansys APDL program. This course is intended for users with a strong working knowledge of the Mechanical APDL program, the APDL Command Language, and the Fortran programming language. Completion of the training course Introduction to Ansys Mechanical APDL is required.Element, contact, material behavior, types of loading, and reading or retrieving information from the model database are just of few of the application areas for UPFs. Once compiled and/or linked into the Mechanical APDL executable, these User Programmable Features (UPFs), will be available when needed. The open architecture of Mechanical APDL allows you to write your own subroutines in the C, C++, or Fortran programming languages. With APDL you can reuse your code, just l. temperature or MPDATA and MPTEMP for a piece-wise linear temperature response. Linear properties are defined with MP command for a polynomial vs. APDL works only with ANSYS Mechanical APDL, not with Workbench. MP MPDATA MPTEMP TB TBDATA TBTEMP Probably the most commonly needed APDL command for ANSYS Mechanical users are the basic material property commands. For some advanced applications, there arises a need to tailor the behavior of the Ansys APDL program to suit individual requirements. APDL means ANSYS Programmable Development Language.
